The Ius & Politia Foundation’s 2025 Innovation Award


On November 17, 2025, at the Institut de France, two faculty members from the Béziers University Institute of Technology (IUT) were honored.Sandrine Grenier, Associate Professor of Private Law and researcher at the LICeM , andSandy Blanco, professor of film and audiovisual studies, received the 2025 Innovation Award, which was unanimously awarded to them by the Ius & Politia, a foundation for education and research in law and political science, housed by the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences.
Each year, the Academy awards prizes to recognize the best works or commend the most meritorious achievements. In doing so, it remains true to the spirit of the Convention members when they founded the Institut de France, in accordance with the law of 3 Brumaire, Year IV, which called for “following […] scientific and literary works aimed at the general good and the glory of the Republic.”
This innovation award recognizes “an outstanding educational or institutional initiative.” It is part of the“Learning Differently: Law and Cinema”project led by Sandrine Grenier and Sandy Blanco within the department Marketing Techniques, a project that offers a new and engaging approach to teaching law through the production of short and medium-length films that harness the power of cinematic imagery.
The Béziers University Institute of Technology congratulates the winners on this prestigious award, which complements theInnovation Award– Social Sciences Division – presented to them by the University Innovation Hub (PUI) at theUniversity of Montpellierin July 2025.
