The educational innovation support service at the Béziers University Institute of Technology is responsible for innovative educational projects: monitoring, training, creation of digital resources, support, project management.

The Innovation and Educational Support Departmentprovides expertise and support in the implementation of new teaching practices: MOOCs, SPOCs, flipped classrooms, hybrid teaching, project-based learning, objective-based learning, competency-based assessment, etc.
The department relies in particular on Information and Communication Technologies for Education (ICT) to facilitate student engagement and ownership. ICT encompasses a set of tools designed and used to produce, process, store, exchange, classify, retrieve, and read digital documents for teaching and learning purposes.

The Innovation and Educational Support Departmentis responsible for managing innovative teaching spaces (Learning Labs, Espace Michel Serres, fabrication spaces). These third places are designed to promote the development of alternative and innovative teaching methods. The Béziers University Institute of Technology has around fifteen innovative teaching spaces:see the map of the University Institute of Technology campus.

Project management and facilitation:

  • Research and implementation of digital projects for educational purposes.
  • Research and production of audiovisual and multimedia content.
  • Support and facilitation of student projects (prototyping, mock-ups)

Digital technology for education:

  • Training and support for teachers in the use of Information and Communication Technologies for Education (ICT).
  • Supporting teachers in creating their online content.
  • Scripting educational courses.
  • Administration of theMoodlelearning platform.
  • Techno-pedagogical monitoring.

The service is available to teachers for:

  • The study of innovative educational projects.
  • The creation of digital and audiovisual content.
  • Advice and support in implementing this content.
  • The use of Learning Labs.
  • Training in techno-pedagogical tools.
  • The scriptwriting and production of educational audiovisual materials.

The service is available to students for:

  • Support for accessing and using digital educational resources.
  • Support and facilitation for the implementation of manufacturing and prototyping projects.
