Educational Innovation / Moodle

The Educational Innovation Support Service at the Béziers University Institute of Technology (IUT) is responsible for innovative educational projects: monitoring trends, training, creating digital resources, providing support, and managing projects

The Innovation and Educational Support Departmentprovides expertise and guidance in the implementation of new teaching practices: MOOCs, SPOCs, flipped classrooms, hybrid learning, project-based learning, goal-based learning, competency-based assessment, and more.
The department relies in particular on Information and Communication Technologies for Education (ICT in Education) to facilitate student engagement and learning. ICT in Education encompasses a set of tools designed and used to create, process, store, share, organize, retrieve, and view digital documents for teaching and learning purposes.

The Innovation and Educational Support Departmentis responsible for managing innovative learning spaces (Learning Labs, the Michel Serres Space, and maker spaces). The purpose of these “third places” is to foster the development of alternative and innovative teaching methods. The Béziers IUT has about fifteen innovative learning spaces:see the map of the IUT Campus.
