Moving Abroad

A study abroad program or an internship abroad allows students to:

  • to expand their professional network internationally
  • to gain professional experience and become more independent
  • to expand their knowledge of the profession
  • to discover other uses and skills
  • to improve one's proficiency in a foreign language
  • to help them enter the workforce or continue their education

The International Relations Office is here to assist you with your study abroad plans.

Student Mobility

The Béziers University Institute of Technology (IUT) and the University of Montpellier have signed various exchange agreements with European universities as part of the Erasmus+ program, as well as bilateral agreements with universities outside Europe.

Any student may study abroad for one semester or a full academic year during their third year of the BUT program at one of our partner universities, provided that a spot is available for their program. For TC students in the International Business track, a two-semester study abroad program is mandatory as part of their BUT program.

Mobility Internship

By completing an internship abroad, you can significantly improve your knowledge, as well as the skills and competencies sought by employers.

An internship abroad is a project that requires planning well in advance, compared to an internship in France. There are several steps to take: finding an internship, applying for financial aid, finding housing, getting insurance, signing the internship agreement…

Mobility grants for internships are available for periods of two months or longer.

You may complete your internship wherever you wish, provided you remain within the guidelines set by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. You must verify the location with the International Relations Office, and it must be approved by the academic unit. The internship assignments must be approved by your internship supervisor.

compensation

For an internship abroad, the regulations of that country apply. Therefore, compensation is not required if the country’s laws do not mandate it.
